REGARDING TANYA’S BRAIN SURGERY:

July 30, 2010 After looking at numerous MRI's and weighing the potential good or bad outcomes, Tanya’s Surgeon (Dr. Daniel Kelly) and colleagues agreed that surgery is simply too risky. Therefore, there will be no surgery. Tanya has been referred to an Endocrinologist in San Francisco and will be going to meet up with him very soon. The family is of course disheartened by this news, but hope lies in the fact that perhaps further treatments (radiation for example) will make enough of a difference for surgery to take place sometime in the future. Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear this Tanya but there is still hope! I will be attending a symposium in California on October 2nd that you or your mom might be interested in. The entire symposium is about pituitary problems. I am hoping to find answers for my Acro while there. Sounds like there will be tons of information incluiding new upcoming procedures and treatments.
God Bless, you are in my prayers.

Tina, my sons's tumour was quite similar. I would greatly like to help by pointing you to the surgeon that did Aaron's surgery. His was wrapped around the carotid as well, but the resection of the tumour was somewhere successful (got 90%) of tumour. Email me or I'll give you my phone number...Patti

Tanya,

I recently seen your episode on Mystery diagnosis on television not that long ago and since then I have not been able to think back to you and all you have gone through and still go through since you were diagnosed. Your story touched me in so many ways, I was diagnosed in June 2012 with what doctors believed was a pituitary tumor, but have now changed their minds and are unsure what kinda of tumor it is being that it is not growing within the pituitary sheath. Anyways, As I watched your story, I felt like I was watching myself on TV, you and I both have the same hopes and dreams about being mothers, and the thought of that being taking away is very scary, and breath taking. When I think about it sometimes I feel like I am being robbed, and honestly it makes me angry you know? Your story inspired me though in so many ways I dont even know where to start to say thank you for sharing your story! I dont feel so alone anymore with this battle!
I would love for us to be able to keep in contact with each other more, if that is at all possible I have enclosed my email address and my phone number I will email it to you! stoler28@gmail.com
